✨ Interesting times lie ahead for all of us when it comes to authenticity checks. With the rise of the internet and especially social networks, verifying the truth has become increasingly challenging as new social engineering techniques have evolved and fake news has spread widely. In recent years, social media has become a strategic communication tool for businesses and even for national elections, but at the same time, fraud methods have developed alongside it.
🗞️ While it has always been easy to write false statements, humanity has learned to manage that – though even today, our solutions are not fully effective. But something else is about to fundamentally change our relationship with the truth: videos. Widely considered reliable sources of truth and even acceptable records in court, videos could previously only be convincingly faked by highly skilled professionals.
👨🏻 Now, here is the result of my own realistic AI avatar, created with Python and English “only”, through a process that includes image processing and avatar design, script generation, lip-sync animation, text-to-speech, and voice cloning. With a bit of manual retouching, it now looks and sounds like me, and can speak any language. At the same time, the impersonation I created at the beginning of 2024 in ContinualBot can talk on my behalf, drawing from a knowledge base of over 1000 pages that I wrote. As the next step, I plan to integrate the video avatar within ContinualBot.
❗ These videos were never recorded on camera.
The difference between this approach and traditional video editing techniques is that it can be done in near real-time and in any language. It’s faster than ever to produce video content that didn’t previously exist, and in the near future, this capability may be accessible to almost everyone.
🚀 Exciting times are also ahead for content creators.
💡 With technological leaps come transformation, opportunities, and new threats. It’s important for all of us to stay informed and curious.
My first avatar (image)
Designed by noctisart_com. It was created as a manga-style avatar, intended to serve as a virtual representation in the Metaverse. (March 2022)
My first talking avatar (animated pic)
I wasn’t happy with it. It was created using an online tool that I wouldn’t recommend due to compliance issues. Be cautious when sharing your photos on such platforms. (January 2024)

This was also a fascinating experiment to discover which language sounds best. It’s the first time I’ve heard the same message spoken by the same voice in so many different languages.
