In October 2025, I had the pleasure of being a speaker for the third time at a Google Developer Group (GDG) event — this one organised by the university chapter.

My session, titled “Building Agentic AI-Powered Solutions”, was designed to help participants prepare in depth for the upcoming OpenHack hackathon. It was a practical and interactive live coding session — one of the longest I’ve ever conducted, lasting 3 hours.

During the workshop, I demonstrated live coding and shared use cases I encountered while building the enterprise-scale Agentic Framework at Ciklum. The audience included around 70 international students and developers passionate about AI and software architecture.

The talk covered key concepts such as LLM inference, transformer architecture, RAG and agentic design patterns, and included a review of tools for rapid development in a hackathon environment.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the meetup, especially the engaging questions during the Q&A session and the quality networking afterwards.

I also appreciated the commitment of GDG to organizing such professional events, with a big shoutout to Andra and her team, to whom I’m thankful for the invitation. It was a great opportunity to expand my network within the Romanian software development community, where I had the pleasure of meeting many intelligent and inspiring individuals.

There’s also a special emotional connection between this event and my student years — it took place in the very same room where, as a student, I organised the international software contest MobilPRO for 6 editions.

It’s always a great experience to be part of student communities, breathing energy and curiosity.
